Chapel Street Surgery is situated in Newhaven – a port town in East Sussex, and we have approximately 5000 patients. We provide a wide range of services including well woman clinics, contraception, maternity and midwifery, asthma / COPD and diabetes clinics, hypertension clinics, childhood immunisations, and minor surgery. We have a multi-disciplinary team including GPs, Paramedic Practitioner, Physiotherapist, Pharmacy Team, Women’s Health Nurse, and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Our patient demographics include a higher-than-average level of deprivation.

Salaried Sessions:

We are looking for salaried GPs and salaried GPs with additional responsibilities (including Clinical Lead, QOF Lead, Prescribing Lead, PCN Lead, Education Lead). We offer fixed sessions, you will need to commit to fixed shifts (which are 4.10 hours in length, however, can be split up over the week depending on what hours you choose).

We are looking for GP’s who:

  • MRCGP Qualification
  • Registered on the GMC GP Register with licence to practice
  • On an NHS National performers list (England, Wales or Northern Ireland)
  • UK based (necessity)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for healthcare
  • Motivated and committed to developing the knowledge and skills required for the role and for ongoing professional development
