Active Sussex has a small but inspiring team that needs a new recruit to take on the challenges and rewards of helping the Trust work towards reducing inequalities through access to physical activity opportunities.
Job Purpose:
The Head of Strategic Partnerships provides senior leadership in strengthening the profile and influence of Active Sussex and physical activity across Sussex. Operating at a strategic system level, the role convenes, aligns and influences organisations across local government, health, education, and the voluntary and community sector to drive long‑term, place‑based change. Where necessary, the role collaborates with other Active Partnerships to amplify impact and ensure system‑wide coherence. Act as a senior ambassador for the value of physical activity and its role in improving population health, wellbeing, and social outcomes. Position Active Sussex as a trusted system leader and strategic convenor across Sussex. Supporting the CEO to influence local policy, investment, and strategic decision‑making to embed physical activity and place‑based approaches. Support the CEO to ensure that this influence is sustainable into the future.
