Your role will include providing person-centred care and support to our residents including personal care and assistance at meal times. Additionally, to Night Care Assistant duties, your role will include:
- Supporting and assisting Deputy and Home Manager by providing leadership to the care team acting as the senior person on duty at night in the absence of the Deputy Manager and informing the Home Manager of any problems or concerns in relation to the Home.
- Acting as a role model and setting the standard for staff of person-centred care.
- Providing support to night care staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
- Delegating tasks fairly to all the team members and assisting them to complete in a timely manner.
- Acting as part of the care team, and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, to supervise, support and assist with the induction and training of care staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of providing support to people in a caring environment and understanding the needs of older people.
- Minimum two years' experience in care sector.
- Experience of writing, reviewing and recording of care plans.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent or an agreement to undertake relevant training.
- Ability to motivate and inspire confidence and enthusiasm in residents and staff.
- Ability to provide coaching & guidance to care staff.
- Ability to lead and supervise.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and the workload of other staff.
- Knowledge of care legislation and guidance.

Additional Information
Contracted hours: 24 hours per week consists of: 12 hours - Night Team Leader and 12 hours Night Care Assistant. Hours: Part‑Time, 2 nights per week, shifts are 7pm - 7am.
Pay rates: Night Team Leader — £14.42 per hour; Night Care Assistant - £14.00 per hour.
