We have a part‑time opportunity to assist a Maintenance Operative in Oakwood Court Care Home. Training and support will be provided from day one. We offer a competitive salary, flexible hours, benefits and bonus schemes.

Responsibilities



  • Provide a responsive maintenance service in respect repairs, cleaning and grounds maintenance.

  • Assist the Maintenance Operative and Property Team in maintaining the building and surrounding areas to a high standard.

  • Carry out painting, block clearance, ensure safe access, understand heating and electrical plant, make adjustments where necessary.

  • Report defects to the Maintenance Operative and maintain appropriate records.

  • Undertake minor repairs and assist with regular Health and Safety checks of the building and grounds.


Candidate Requirements



  • Full training will be given. Some knowledge of general building maintenance and basic Health and Safety would be beneficial.

  • Empathetic and considerate nature.

  • Working experience in an older persons housing and care setting is advantageous but not essential.

  • Current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is helpful but not essential.

  • Employment Type: Permanent

  • Hours: 17.5 hours per week (flexible options available)

  • Pay: £11,466.00 annually

  • Location: Oakwood Court, Haywards Heath
