A scheme managers job is varied and no two days are the same! Youll support our residents in Crowborough at our retirement housing schemes.

About You
Youre a people person with a can-do attitude. Youll use your initiative to support residents and signpost them to key services and agencies. Youll have good attention to detail and good knowledge of health, housing and social issues, with previous housing experience. Youll be able to identify the needs of individuals, be empathic and make sure our sheltered schemes are safe and secure. A keen listener youll put residents at the heart of everything you do.

Responsibilities include:
- Dealing with day to day enquires relating to the schemes
- Supporting residents to live independently and working with external agencies to make sure residents get access to the right services.
- Ensuring the scheme is safe and all health and safety checks are carried out in line with policies and procedures.
- Monitoring budgets and service charge accounts and making sure residents homes are well maintained and repairs completed to a high standard.
- Taking ownership and fully investigating any complaints received including anti social behaviour.
- Monitoring cleaning, gardening and other contractors' performance when on site, ensuring that works are completed to a satisfactory standard
- Letting properties and making sure new residents feel welcomed
- Connecting with residents, to encourage inclusion in social events
- At least two years Housing experience in a similar or related field (essential)
- A good knowledge of health and social issues that may affect our residents
- Good computer skills
- Ability to deal with challenging and emergency situations in a calm manner
- Excellent?customer service and communication skills
- Due to the locations of some of Sussex Housing & Care's schemes it is necessary that the post holder is able to drive and has access to their own vehicle for work purposes
Location: Nevill Court / Nevill Close & The Rowans, Crowborough, TN6 1UW
Hours: 35 Hours per week (Monday - Friday)
