Your role will include providing person-centred care and support to our residents including personal care and assistance at meal times. Additionally, your role will include:
- Supporting and assisting Deputy and Home Manager by providing leadership to the care team
- Acting as the senior person on duty at night in the absence of the Deputy Manager and informing the Home Manager of any problems or concerns in relation to the Home
- Acting as a role model and setting the standard for staff of person-centred care
- Providing support to night care staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity
- Supervising, supporting and assisting in the induction and training of the care staff
Requirements:
- Experience of providing support to people in a caring environment and understanding the needs of older people
- Minimum two years' experience in the care sector
- Experience of writing, reviewing and recording of care plans
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health & Social Care or equivalent or an agreement to undertake relevant training
- Ability to provide coaching & guidance to care staff
- Knowledge of care legislation and guidance
£14.42 per hour (£36,000 per year FTE) based on a 48-hour full-time contract. Part-time hours available. Hours of work (nights only): 08:00pm - 08:00am.
