We are currently looking for a Bank Cook to join our friendly team, whose values reflect ours. You will be part of our friendly, positive and supportive team delivering great food to our residents at Saxonwood Care Home, Battle.
Your role will include:
- Being part of a team providing great food that residents look forward to.
- Being aware of and complying with all regulations concerning hygiene, allergens, health and safety of staff, food and equipment and kitchen practices.
- Supervising kitchen General Assistants, ensuring their allocated duties are carried out.
- Making sure the kitchen is kept clean and that kitchen stock is secure.
- Ensuring a high standard of service to our residents and being able to adjust routines to meet their needs wherever possible.
- Preparing and cooking food.
- Presenting and serving meals to residents and visitors.
- Completing HACCP documentation.
- Taking and storing deliveries.
Candidate Requirements:
- City and Guilds 706/1/2 in Catering or equivalent qualification or minimum of at least 2 years relevant experience in a related field.
- Knowledge and experience of preparing, cooking and serving all consumables as required, whilst complying with policies on quality, quantity and food hygiene.
- Good communication skills and the ability to respond positively to feedback on the quality of food from the residents and visitors while in the home.
- Food safety training.
Contract type: Bank.
