An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Immunisation Programme Assistants to join the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service. The role requires core working hours of 8am-4pm, with flexibility at either end of the day for packing of vaccines or clinic cover on a rota basis. You will also cover one Saturday clinic. The SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service vaccinates children aged 0-19 years in schools and clinics across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove. You will also be assisting with administration at the SCFT Staff Flu vaccination clinics. The role is full time 37.5 hours over five days, however 30 hours over four days would be considered. This post will be based in Uckfield but all team members support the whole of the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service, so you must be a car owner/driver and be willing to travel daily to clinics and schools within Sussex. Please note: Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who do not currently have the right to work in the UK in an appropriate job code may not be considered. The role will include providing clerical and clinical support in schools, bases, clinics and patients\’ homes. It is an exciting and varied role, working within a team of nurses, assistants and administrators to deliver vaccination programmes to school aged children and SCFT Staff. The successful candidate will prepare the documentation and assist with the running of the vaccination sessions and clinics and be expected to accurately process the completed session paperwork. During this busy flu vaccination period, they will also be involved with giving the flu nasal spray vaccine to School aged children under supervision of a trained health professional.
