About Us:
Sussex Community Dermatology Service (SCDS) and Kent Integrated Dermatology Services (KIDS) aim to triage a range of dermatoses effectively into clinics to enable a see and treat approach during the patients initial appointment, reducing the need for multiple follow-ups. The services work alongside an experienced nurse prescribing team, comprising independent nurse prescribers qualified to manage patients on systemic and biologic therapies. Clinical offerings include day surgery, minor operations, dermoscopy, patch testing, photodynamic therapy, and phototherapy. The focus remains firmly on meeting patients needs and preferences, with their wellbeing placed at the heart of all decision-making.
We work with NHS trusts and integrated care boards to deliver over 100,000 new patient consultations annually including the full cancer pathway, biologics and subspecialities. We are a GMC recognised designated body for revalidation and provide annual appraisals for our consultants as part of this process.
