SushiSushi is an 18-year-old Japanese food importer supplying Michelin-starred restaurants, premium hotels, and distributors across the UK, with growing e-commerce and Amazon channels. We’re a small, high-trust team preparing for the next stage of growth, including supermarket retail. Operations are solid, demand is strong - scaling revenue now requires strategic business development.
The role
- Identify and develop new market opportunities and client segments
- Build strategic partnerships with high-value accounts
- Expand our presence in premium food service and hospitality
- Own the full cycle: research, outreach, negotiation, onboarding
- Daily CRM discipline and concise reporting
You have
- Proven B2B business development experience
- Strategic thinking with strong execution skills
- CRM fluency — pipeline management is second nature
- Self-starter with commercial instincts
- Drive for performance-based earnings
Desirable:
- Food service, hospitality, or premium product sector experience
- Established network in restaurants / catering / wholesale
- Distribution or Amazon Vendor Central experience
Compensation
- Base: £30–35k
- Commission: 10% GP on new business (first 12 months)
- 5% on account growth (Year 2+)
- Threshold: £7k monthly GP (once hit, applies to all profit that month)
- OTE Year 1: £50–56k
- Top performers: £65k+
