General Manager Sushinoya Chinatown Salary: Β£40,000 per year Contract: Full-time, 45 hours per week Location: Chinatown, London Sushinoya is looking for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our Chinatown restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who is passionate about great food, strong service standards and building a high-performing team. You will take full ownership of the restaurants day-to-day operation, ensuring we consistently deliver an excellent guest experience while achieving commercial and operational targets. The Role As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant, including: Leading, motivating and developing the restaurant team Delivering consistently high standards of food, service and hospitality Managing labour costs, rotas and productivity in line with budget Driving sales and identifying opportunities to grow the business Managing restaurant P&L performance and controlling operational costs Recruiting, onboarding, training and developing team members Managing performance, probation reviews and team development Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and health & safety Maintaining strong stock control and reducing waste Monitoring guest feedback and driving improvements in customer satisfaction Ensuring company policies, procedures and operational standards are followed Working closely with the Operations team and wider support functions Creating a positive, accountable and high-performance working culture About You We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience as a General Manager or strong Deputy/Assistant General Manager in a busy restaurant environment Is confident managing a high-volume operation Has strong commercial awareness and understands labour, sales, stock and cost control Is comfortable taking ownership and making operational decisions Has excellent leadership and people-management skills Can coach, develop and motivate a diverse team Is organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure Has a strong understanding of food safety, health & safety and restaurant compliance Takes pride in delivering excellent standards and guest experiences Experience within Japanese, Korean or Asian restaurant concepts would be beneficial but is not essential.
