About the role
This role is a maternity cover for approximately 12 months. The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for the day-to-day trading, optimisation and performance of Susanne Kaufmann’s B2C ecommerce platforms, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience and strong commercial outcomes across core markets. The focus is on hands-on trading, performance optimisation and cross-functional delivery, working closely with Marketing, CRM, Copy and Product teams under the direction of the Ecommerce Director.
Key responsibilities
- Ecommerce trading & performance
- Own the day-to-day management of the B2C ecommerce websites (German and English), including product uploads, launches and promotions.
- Deliver against B2C sales targets through effective trading, merchandising and optimisation.
- Monitor, analyse and report on sales, conversion, traffic and customer behaviour.
- Translate performance data into actionable insights to inform trading decisions and longer-term improvements.
- Proactively identify opportunities to drive revenue, conversion and AOV based on real-time data and market trends.
- Customer experience & UX optimisation
- Recommend and implement UX and design improvements to enhance the customer journey and conversion rates.
- Use analytics, user behaviour tools and customer insight to inform site improvements.
- Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure site content aligns with brand campaigns, launches and tone of voice.
- Content, product & CRM collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Copywriters to ensure accurate, compelling and on-brand website copy.
- Partner with Product Development to ensure product pages reflect accurate product information, ingredients and usage guidance.
- Work closely with the CRM Manager to align ecommerce and CRM strategies, sharing insights to inform segmentation and targeting.
- Support on-site personalisation tools to deliver tailored content and customer experiences.
- Technical & platform management
- Provide functional oversight of the ecommerce platform (Shopify).
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for the web development agency.
- Project manage web development initiatives from briefing through to testing and delivery, under the guidance of the Ecommerce Director.
- Provide technical oversight for B2B websites where required.
- Market awareness & continuous improvement
- Stay informed on ecommerce trends, tools and best practices.
- Bring forward ideas to improve performance, efficiency and customer engagement.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the ecommerce operating model.

- Strong experience with Shopify (essential).
