Surya Hotels are recruiting for a Hotel General Manager to lead the newly refurbished Thatchers Hotel in Leatherhead, Surrey as she embarks on her journey to join IHG's collection of Voco hotels. Leading our team through this exciting time, as we join the Voco family, embed values and procedures whilst always ensuring guests receive a warm and sincere welcome, have a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we also deliver on our values: “Ownership with personality”. You will be adept at demonstrating a hospitality first ethos, delivering fantastic food, events and fabulously relaxing and inviting stays. You lead from the front.
Thatcher’s Hotel—Leatherhead—is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With over 80 rooms, all recently refurbished.
Qualifications- Management Experience in a 4* 50+ bedroom hotel
- Phenomenal experience leading Restaurant & Hotel teams—delighting and enhancing guest experience
- A thirst to drive and improve standards across the Hotel
- Insight into local market, specifically aware of opportunities and ways to increase F&B footfall
- Ability to lead and inspire teams across a number of divisions, e.g., Restaurant, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Reception
- Numerical dexterity to crunch the numbers, drive occupancy, ARR and achieve best stock control and ROI
- Compassion to lead, motivate, inspire and develop your teams—from your housekeeping stars to your back office team and FOH wonders
- Proven experience being hands on whilst seeing the bigger picture to increase your business
- Proven ability to work autonomously within an evolving framework
- Managers are managed against the Hotel P&L, guest feedback, ARR, occupancy levels, audits and team stability
- Must have experience within a similar hotel role with site and P&L responsibility
- Experience within IHG brand, although not essential, is distinctly advantageous
- Strong Hospitality Background, preferably F&B driven experience gained in hotels or high volume restaurants with personality, with proven levels of success
- Excellent management skills, including recruiting, performance managing and leading a team and an exceptional manager
- Commercially astute to monitor and analyse trends and identify opportunities
- Flexible in approach and a “Can do, will achieve” attitude
