We’re looking for a
Food & Beverage Assistant that brings energy, curiosity and a can‑do spirit. Someone who loves the buzz of service and the joy of making someone’s day.
At The Mill Hotel, history and modernity meet here, with soothing, contemporary interiors throughout the hotel and its 62 rooms, complementing the mill’s original features, among them the waterwheel itself – an atmospheric centerpiece in the restaurant and relaxing bar.
How you’ll bring the magic to the floor as our
Food & Beverage Assistant
- Has a positive, can‑do attitude towards customers and other team.
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning about all things food and drink — including spirits, wines, cocktails, and delivering the “perfect serve”.
- A willingness to understand different food styles and service standards, learn the menus, and confidently explain dishes to customers.
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of interacting with guests in a lively, fast‑paced environment.
- The ability to deliver great service — taking orders, serving food and drink, processing payments, and ensuring every guest has an excellent experience.
- Commitment to meeting site service standards and working effectively as part of the team.
- A developing or good understanding of preparing coffees and serving alcohol and wine in both bar and restaurant settings.
- Availability to work opening and closing shifts, including weekends and bank holidays on a pro‑rata basis.
- A willingness to continue your development through in‑house and external training sessions.
