This is a great opportunity to take the exciting next step in your hospitality career and work as part of the Kitchen brigade within our newly refurbished Thatchers Bar, Restaurant and Hotel. Thatchers Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. With 87 newly refurbished rooms, multiple event and conference spaces, Thatchers is a stunning property to work within.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef with a true passion for great food, a clear focus on presentation and quality service, able to inspire and lead the brigade. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be building the brigade and shaping the future dining experiences. Your Sous Chef responsibilities include:

  • Create, prepare, cook and present dishes - running your section, leading section(s) and coordinating service with colleagues.
  • Mindful of wastage, portions, time efficiencies and working with all departments to ensure smooth service.
  • Supporting Head Chef to lead and mentor less experienced colleagues - working as a team to deliver great food to guests in a timely manner.
  • Flexibility to cook and serve on any section to ensure smooth service.
