The Dragonfly Colchester hotel offers a relaxing and comfortable place to stay whether travelling for business or leisure. With Colchester's historic City Centre just a few minutes away and the beautiful Essex countryside close by, it's the ideal base from which to explore the local area.

Inside the Dragonfly Hotel in Colchester, you'll find every amenity that's required for our guests to feel like it's a home from home in one of our 50 rooms, such as free WiFi, 43" flat screen TVs, ironing tea and coffee making facilities and gloriously welcoming Hypnos beds. Our family hotel offers a personalized experience at an extremely affordable price.

To be a successful part of our Front of House team as a Team Leader — working across Reception, Bar, and Restaurant — you will need to confidently handle a wide range of guest-facing duties. This includes welcoming guests and managing check-ins and check-outs at Reception, as well as taking orders, preparing drinks, and delivering table service in our Restaurant and Bar.

To thrive as a Front of House Team Leader you will bring:

  • A positive, can-do approach and genuine passion for delivering great customer service.
  • Confidence using systems, including tills, taking guest orders and completing check-ins and check-outs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests in a lively, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in a hospitality Front of House setting; previous leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, train a team, helping maintain high standards whilst being fair and consistent.
  • A willingness to continue your development with both in-house and external training sessions.
