We are looking for a talented and driven Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team at The George Hotel, Colchester part of Surya Hotels. The George Hotel, located on Colchester High Street in Essex, has been at the heart of England's oldest recorded town for over 500 years. The hotel offers 49 heritage rooms and suites, alongside 44 contemporary rooms in St Nicholas. As guests wake to the charm and history of this unique hotel, the breakfast experience plays an important role in setting the tone for their day. Whether serving a hearty Full English, preparing continental options or dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, our Breakfast Chef helps create memorable first impressions. The Breakfast Chef role will require:
- The cleaning and maintaining of equipment
- Complying to food safety and other regulations and rules as set out by the business
- Preparing and cooking items on the menu
- Organising and labelling the kitchen and its storage
- Managing and ordering in stock
- Keeping wastage to a minimum
