Surya Hotels – Hotel (Operations) Manager, Dragonfly Colchester Hotel, Ardleigh (near Colchester). 50 rooms, restaurant and function spaces. Location: Essex. Salary: £30,000.00 – £35,000.00 per annum plus tips. Employment type: Full time.
Responsibilities
- Manage experience in a 3/4-, 30+ bedroom hotel (site and P&L responsibility).
- Lead and inspire restaurant teams to delight and enhance guest experience.
- Drive standards across the hotel and seek opportunities to improve overall performance.
- Utilise knowledge of the local market to increase F&B footfall.
- Lead and develop teams across multiple departments (Restaurant, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Reception).
- Analyse numbers to drive occupancy, average room rate (ARR), stock control, and ROI.
- Motivate and develop staff at all levels, from housekeeping to back-office and front-of-house.
- Maintain a hands-on approach while keeping sight of the bigger business picture.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role with site and P&L responsibility.
- Strong hospitality background, preferably F&B driven within hotels or high-volume restaurants, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent management skills: recruiting, performance management, and leadership.
