We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our team due to year on year growth. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years supply chain management and FMCG manufacturing and distribution experience, with strong experience in S&OP methods and process improvements. This is an onsite role at our offices in Harwich, Essex, Monday to Friday (40 hours a week).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee demand and supply planning, forecasting processes, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure efficient business planning and data-driven decision-making to support operational excellence.
  • Optimisation across our end-to-end supply chain to maximise performance in inventory management, lead time and OTD.
  • Strong 3PL management.
  • Work closely with Sales team to plan for promotions and events well ahead of time.
  • Conduct capacity planning in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting and business analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Able to identify any future issues and work proactively to either negate the situation or manage the issue with minimal impact.
  • Optimisation of inbound material scheduling to ensure it is in line with business requirements and inventory target.
  • Drive implementation of key supply chain infrastructure and process improvement projects.
  • Optimize material scheduling to align with business requirements and inventory targets.
  • Management of current team as well as responsibility for future recruitment by leading team through regular performance reviews.
  • Monitor performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Work with appropriate internal teams and collaborate with various departments to align logistics with sourcing and demand forecasts.
  • The employee has a responsibility towards achieving any departmental targets/KPI’s as shared by the company.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics, with a strong understanding of business processes.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean or Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A proactive approach to work, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple 3PL’s.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
  • Commercial and customer-focused mindset.
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
  • Ability to introduce innovative solutions and drive change.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
