The Commercial Performance & Pricing Analyst is responsible for driving commercial visibility, forecast accuracy, pricing governance and sales performance, while also supporting the commercial activities of UK Business Unit. The role acts as the central source of commercial intelligence for management and sales teams, ensuring that performance, pricing, profitability and forecasting are continuously monitored and improved. The position provides actionable insights into where the business is succeeding, where improvements are needed, and which actions should be prioritized to support profitable growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor sales performance across UK Business Unit.
- Analyse revenue, margin and order intake by customer, channel, geography and product category.
- Identify areas of strong and weak performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Perform win/loss analysis and identify commercial opportunities.
- Support Monthly Business Reviews and Commercial Performance Reviews.
- Lead and coordinate the sales forecast process.
- Work closely with Sales Managers and Business Development teams to improve forecast accuracy.
- Monitor pipeline development, orderbook performance and forecast risks.
- Support annual budgeting and commercial planning activities.
- Produce regular forecast and performance reports for management.
- Maintain and administer all customer and distributor price lists.
- Ensure price lists are current, approved and correctly implemented.
- Monitor discounts, rebates and pricing exceptions.
- Analyse pricing performance and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Support annual price adjustments and pricing strategy initiatives.
- Drive pricing governance and compliance across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain commercial dashboards and reports.
- Produce regular reporting on sales performance, forecast accuracy, discount levels, margins, customer profitability, product performance, order intake and orderbook trend.
- Analyse customer profitability and customer lifetime value.
- Identify opportunities for growth, cross-selling and account development.
- Support product managers with sales and profitability analysis.
- Evaluate performance by product category and market sector.
- Support Sales, Finance, Product Management and Marketing with commercial insights.
- Deliver data-driven recommendations to management.
- Prepare business cases, commercial presentations and performance reviews.
- Act as a key contributor to commercial decision-making within UK Business Unit.

Experience and qualification:
- Educated to University degree level.
- 3 years of job-related experience enabling the role holder to work unsupervised and to use own initiative.
- Strong business and commercial acumen. Experience in a pricing focused role is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage various tasks at the same time.
- Great communication skills.
- Advanced Excel user and skilled user of Power BI. Knowledge of IFS desirable.
