The Role: Are you someone who takes pride in getting the details right? Do you enjoy hands-on work and want a career where quality and safety really matter? Survitec, the world's leading survival technology company, is looking for two Service Technicians to join our team in Birkenhead. You'll play a vital role in inspecting, servicing and maintaining lifejackets that help save lives at sea. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in the marine safety industry. Full training will be provided, and as your skills grow, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wider range of life-saving equipment, including liferafts, marine evacuation systems and other specialist products. You'll also gain valuable experience supporting our warehouse and stores operations, making every day varied and rewarding.

Duties and responsibilities for Service Technician role but not limited to:

  • Inspecting, servicing and maintaining lifejackets and associated safety equipment in line with Survitec procedures and quality standards.
  • Following detailed work instructions and ensuring all work is completed accurately.
  • Supporting warehouse and stores activities, including handling equipment and stock.
  • Driving between customer sites and operational locations when required.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.

About You: Essential criteria:

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow processes, procedures and technical instructions.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
  • A positive team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a technical, workshop, warehouse or engineering environment is beneficial but not essential.
  • ADR Awareness.
