The successful candidate will join our busy Installation team whose key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and servicing marine escape equipment on passenger carrying ships throughout the world.
  • Liaising with clients and shipyards on their servicing and installation schedule.
  • Ensuring client requirements are met and a first-class level of customer satisfaction is delivered.
  • Delivering customer training as required.
  • Any other appropriate duties as required by a relevant Line Manager in support of business needs.

  • Analytical / Logical Thinker.
  • Self-motivated individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate to all levels within the business.
  • Flexibility to assist with the variety of duties within the Installation/Servicing team & Training Department.
  • A ‘hands-on’ approach to problem solving.
  • A tenacity to get jobs completed to exacting quality standards and on time.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in packing Large Capacity Life rafts OR can demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude.
  • An excellent attitude towards Health and Safety in the Workplace.
  • A willingness and ability to undertake extensive travel worldwide.
  • Good IT Skills and proficient in Microsoft Applications.
  • A current, full driving license.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A time-served fitter.
  • Being educated to a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

A comprehensive training programme will be offered to the successful candidate enabling them to achieve certification in the servicing and installation of MES Equipment. Candidates should be aware that the role is often physically demanding and will require significant/extensive global travel. It is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate a fully flexible approach to support the demanding, fast-paced and customer-focused requirements of the MES Dept.
