The Role
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Production Operative, to join our Wearables and Leisure team based in Peterhead.
Key responsibilities for the Production Operative role include but are not limited to:
- Operates various equipment and machinery safely as part of a manufacturing production line, or in contribution to the development of new product prototypes; adjusts machinery as needed and according to training – this may involve becoming certified or licensed as competent to operate or adjust that machinery
- Carries out operational tasks to Survitec standard, ensuring work is completed right first time and flagging any instances of variation or failure to meet standard
- Carries out installation tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete those allocated tasks
- Helps to maintain and repair equipment and appliances by carrying out standard preparation, inspection or maintenance tasks, following strict, detailed instruction
- Supports the quality function by working within strict quality standards and identifying instances of non-compliance, so that problem-solving and corrective action can be taken
- Accurately follows mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment where relevant, to actively safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others
- Develops and maintains excellent skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching
- Contributes to creating an environment where everyone in the team can live the Survitec Values
- Contributes to creating an inclusive environment where our people feel valued, appreciated and free to be who they are at work
- Understands, upholds and contributes to creating a safety-first culture within Survitec. Ensures a safe and healthy working environment

About You
Essential criteria:
Educated to High School level with 2 GCSEs or equivalent
Experience using a sewing machine and confident in your ability
Some experience of operating complex machinery is desirable, but not necessary as full training is provided
No Management Experience Is Required For This Role
