Looking for a role that offers global travel, technical challenge, and more time off than a standard Monday–Friday job? At Survitec, we’re looking for an experienced Lead Lifeboat Service Technician to join our offshore team supporting operations from Findon, Aberdeen. This role offers the opportunity to work around the world while maintaining a healthy work-life balance, averaging approximately 17 working days per month.
Please note, due to the technical nature of this role, we are specifically looking for candidates with previous hands-on experience servicing lifeboats and launching appliances. This is an essential requirement.
We are open to candidates based across the UK - you do not need to be located in Findon or Aberdeen. As this is a travel-focused offshore role, as long as you can reasonably travel to an international airport, we’d love to hear from you!
This is a hands-on technical leadership role - ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring and supporting others without the pressure of formal people management responsibilities. You’ll lead jobs in the field, solve technical challenges, and help ensure life-saving equipment is ready when it matters most.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections, servicing, installation, and emergency repairs on lifeboats and launching appliances
- Lead and support offshore jobs while working alongside skilled technicians
- Provide expert technical guidance and outstanding customer support in the field
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards
- Support continuous improvement and best practice across operations
- Work closely with Service Operations on planning and scheduling activities
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Essential: Previous hands-on experience servicing lifeboats and launching appliances
- Previous experience leading jobs or supporting teams offshore
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to coach and support others in the field
- Rope Access certification, or willingness to obtain it
- A valid UK driving licence
- Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally
