Survey Solutions is a leading engineering surveyor specialising in land, measured building and underground utility surveys as well as monitoring and site engineering schemes. We have a network of nine offices with our teams of surveyors and engineers working on some of the UK’s major construction and infrastructure developments.

Role Overview
As a site engineer you will work on Hinkley Point C with other Survey Solutions employees. You will be required to work as part of a team on the site. It is a very varied role and will involve working on setting out, as builts, and as built drawings, overseeing quality control and monitoring health and safety. The role will be onsite and accommodation will be provided for those who are not local to the area for the duration of the project.
Main Duties / Key Responsibilities
- Setting out internal walls/grid lines/datums
- To undertake as-built surveys and reference them to proposed drawings
- Installing secondary site control
- Working with site plans, drawings and building information models
- Liaising with designers and engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate
- Overseeing quality control and monitoring health and safety
- Keeping a site diary
- Resolving technical problems

- Continue to enhance personal development and technical surveying skills by seeking advice from experienced surveyors and utilizing the company’s training resources
- Attend and contribute effectively to training and development days to assist your progression to learn
- Provide feedback to your line manager in 1-1 progression reviews
Health & Safety
- Follow Survey Solutions H&S policies and procedures outlined in the H&S Manual
- Promote a high standard of H&S and welfare in the workplace and to members of the public
- Undertake initial site inspections and complete dynamic risk assessments when attending survey sites, reporting any safety issues to the wider surveying team or to management
- Ensure all the required safety measures are in place prior to commencing the work and remain until all equipment and operatives have completed
