We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our New Business Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth for the organization. This is a key position that requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sales.
As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Conducting market research, networking, and prospecting to uncover potential business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with clients, gaining a deep understanding of their needs, and providing tailored solutions that align with their goals.
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales and marketing, to develop effective strategies and achieve revenue targets.
- Preparing and delivering compelling presentations to clients, showcasing the value of our products and services.
- Negotiating contracts and closing deals with clients, ensuring favourable terms for both parties.
- Tracking sales performance metrics and providing regular reports to management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the furniture/workplace industry.
- Experience in selling direct to end-users is a must.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience of value selling.
- A previous background in end-user sales is essential.
