We\’re looking for a kind, flexible and proactive Personal Assistant to support a neurodivergent family with day‑to‑day routines, childcare, and practical tasks. This is a varied, rewarding role working closely with bright, creative children who love animals, nature, and hands‑on activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Childcare support: help plan routines, supervise play, assist with homework, and encourage independence (e.g., cooking, hygiene, chores, errands).
- Transport children to/from activities and attend appointments and groups with them.
- Help with planning and attending fun outings and activities, both at home and in the community.
- Provide advocacy, structure, and gentle encouragement, especially in new environments.
- Work in partnership with parents to adapt support based on the family’s evolving needs.
About You
- Great communicator, patient, and approachable.
- Confident with travel (including into London) and longer‑distance driving.
- Comfortable working in a household with 4 dogs and 4 kittens.
- Experience or interest in Autism, ADHD, PDA, chronic fatigue/long COVID is ideal.
- No formal qualifications required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
Other Info
- £13.85 per hour, 22 hours a week regularly increasing to 52 hours a week during school holidays.
- Two children are currently home‑educated, so daytime availability is important.
- You should enjoy an active lifestyle and be able to keep up with a dynamic household that enjoys swimming, climbing, walking, board games, cooking, crafts, and more.
