Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) is seeking an Operations Manager to support the development of the Surrey Biodiversity Information Centre (SBIC).
The role involves managing and motivating a small team, developing partnerships to expand the recording network across Surrey, maintaining service delivery, and strategically aligning with the SBIC Business Plan.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day management and operation of SBIC.
- Support the SBIC Strategic Lead in achieving and maintaining SBIC’s status as an accredited Local Environmental Records Centre (LERC).
- Build and manage critical partnerships to extend the recording network across Surrey.
- Ensure service delivery meets quality and compliance standards.
- Work systematically to achieve objectives set out in the SBIC Business Plan.
Qualifications
- Relevant environmental qualification essential.
- Professional background in nature conservation and experience in supervisory or team management roles.
- Knowledge and experience of the workings of a local environmental records centre.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and able to work systematically as an individual or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
