We are looking for a Data Officer to join Surrey’s local environmental records centre. The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day activities of the Surrey Biodiversity Information Centre (SBIC) and help deliver a professional enquiry response service, capture and digitise varied biodiversity datasets, and work in line with service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver day‑to‑day activities of SBIC and support the defined work programme.
- Respond to enquiries from users and projects with a professional, efficient and effective service.
- Ensure accurate capture and digitisation of species, habitat and site records.
Qualifications
A relevant environmental qualification is essential together with a professional background in nature conservation and knowledge or experience of local environmental records work. Candidates should demonstrate systematic work, thorough attention to detail and confidence in using technology.
