Location: Surrey / Hybrid Working Available

About Surrey Training

Surrey Training is a new and growing training company specialising in the delivery of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism (OMMT). Our mission is to improve understanding, inclusion, and outcomes for autistic people and people with a learning disability through high‑quality, engaging training delivered by a professional training team, including experts with lived experience.

The Role

This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone looking to gain practical marketing experience within a growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in setting up and managing our marketing systems, social media channels, and digital presence. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, contribute ideas, and make a genuine impact on the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and optimise social media accounts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok (maybe).
  • Create and schedule engaging content.
  • Assist in developing a social media strategy and content calendar.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Help manage website content and updates.
  • Research target audiences and potential clients.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns.
  • Support the implementation of CRM and marketing technologies.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Support the promotion of training events and workshops.

About You

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and comfortable working in a growing business environment where flexibility and initiative are valued.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related subject, or currently studying towards one.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Confidence using technology and learning new digital tools.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using Canva or similar design software.
  • Knowledge of website management systems such as WordPress.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
  • Experience creating short‑form video content.
  • Interest in health, social care, learning disability, autism, or community‑based services.
