During the course of one week, students will receive a tour of SSTL and get the chance to work closely with some of our engineers. You will be given an overview of some different types of space mission we are working on, and an insight into the engineering activities required to take a project from concept, through design, build and test to an operational mission.
This will provide hands-on experience of a day in the life of a systems engineer, offering a taste of what it is like to be working in the engineering division and systems engineering team in a globally recognised space company.
SSTL do not expect applicants to have any prior knowledge or previous experience within engineering but showing a keen interest in this direction of career is desirable. SSTL endeavour to offer work experience to as many students as possible, therefore due to the high number of applicants we are unable to accept applications from students who have previously completed the programme.
