To assist the Financial Accounting Manager with day to day accounting function, ensuring segregation of duty & internal controls.
- Management of business overhead control process including setting annual targets and internal hourly rates. Includes quarterly review and co-ordination with all budget holders.
- Posting and recording prepayments, accruals and journals.
- Posting of payroll related journals.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register & related depreciation.
- Bank reconciliation and currency revaluations.
- Cash flow monitoring & related processes & reporting.
- Foreign currency/derivatives management.
- Monthly reporting to Shareholder and main point of contact.
- Assist with the audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Review of creditor’s ledger and checking of supplier payment runs.
- Completion of quarterly VAT return.
- Assist with the preparation of tax computations.
- National Statistics reporting.
- Annual PSA.
- Assurance of Parent Company process flow-down & internal controls.
- Updating of process documentation.
- Other Ad hoc duties.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA - Qualified or part qualified.
- Previous Experience: Proven and demonstrable experience in a relevant accounts role. Proven experience within a busy and dynamic organisation.
