The AIT Engineering Planner is responsible for supporting the planning, scheduling, and resource management of work across teams, functional areas, and projects. This role combines technical administration, resource planning, and project coordination to ensure efficient delivery of project milestones and objectives. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to optimise resource allocation, monitor project progress, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed work package schedules, resource plans, and timelines using planning tools such as MS Project or SAP. Ensure work package plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with overall team and project objectives. Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and dependencies.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with Functional Managers, Work Package Managers (WPMs), and Project Managers to allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and functional areas. Maintain a holistic view of resource availability, utilisation, and workload, updating resource managers on a monthly cycle (as a minimum). Assist in forecasting resource requirements for bids, upcoming projects, and long-term planning.
- Work Package Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress against schedules, budgets, and resource plans, identifying variances and escalating risks as needed. Prepare and present reports on project advancements, KPIs, milestones, and overall team performance. Support Project Controllers and WPMs with EAC (Estimate at Completion), ETC (Estimate to Complete), and other financial metrics for Work Packages.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between planning, execution, and project objectives. Act as a point of contact for resource requests and conflicts, proposing solutions to keep projects on track. Facilitate communication between technical teams, Functional Managers, and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project objectives and timelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improving planning, resource management, and document control processes. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices in project management. Provide training or guidance to team members on planning tools and systems as needed.
