As a Volunteer Business Analyst, you will play a key role within Change Delivery, supporting evidence-based improvement initiatives across the Force.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges
  • Mapping current ("as-is") processes and designing improved ("to-be") processes
  • Analysing activities, workloads and performance to establish baselines
  • Quantifying the benefits of proposed changes, including both cashable and non-cashable outcomes
  • Supporting the evaluation of changes through post-implementation review
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the team

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this volunteer role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in process mapping, with the capability to clearly define current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") states
  • Proven ability to analyse organisational data to gain insight into team operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business areas, including associated challenges, risks and issues
  • Good administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan and support tasks in a structured way
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Visio is desirable; however, training can be provided.
