Are you passionate about the outdoors? We are excited to be hiring bank Outdoor Learning Instructors to join our dynamic Outdoor Learning team at Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD). We are offering flexible bank contracts, various hours available (usually a minimum of seven hours per shift), with work opportunities over seven days per week. This role has a starting hourly rate of £13.35 per hour, plus £2.00 per hour annual leave allowance.
Required shifts: 9am to 5pm, 1pm to 9.30pm and 9am to 9pm, Monday through to Sunday.
Locations of our centres are:
- High Ashurst, Mickleham Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6DQ
- Henley Fort, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4RH
- Angel Blue, Dapdune Wharf, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4RR
- Various Surrey locations with the Outreach team
About the role: This is a fantastic role delivering high-quality outdoor learning programmes to ensure that our visitors benefit positively from participating in outdoor learning. Our team works with a range of groups which include primary, secondary, college, graduate and adult age groups, Additional Needs and Disabilities (AND) and family groups.
What are we looking for?
- Previous group work experience in an outdoor or other setting
- Positive and solution-focused attitude
- A minimum of one national governing body qualification in adventurous outdoor activities
- Knowledge and understanding of theories relating to outdoor learning
