We are excited to be hiring new bank Kitchen Assistants to join our team at Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD). We offer flexible bank contracts with a starting salary of £14.88 per hour. This includes £12.89 per hour plus £1.99 holiday entitlement. We have breakfast and early evening shifts available, seven days a week.
Henley Fort and Angel Blue - Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4RH. Note: Please confirm your preferred location when applying. High Ashurst and Henley Fort are in remote locations. There aren’t many public transport options, so you’ll need to be able to get to the centres by car or cycle.
We are looking for people who want to work in our kitchens at our busy outdoor centres. We have different hours to fit around your other commitments. Options of mornings, evenings or a combination of both. The role involves helping with meal preparation, cooking, serving, and clearing. You’ll deliver healthy, freshly made meal options to our visitors.
We’d love to hear from you if you have kitchen experience, whether from home cooking or a commercial setting.
Who are we looking for?
- Positive and motivational leadership and communication skills
- Holder of, or working towards, Food Hygiene Level 3
- Experience of cooking for large groups and catering for a wide range of needs
- Experience of adapting to special diets and allergens
- Excellent planning and time management skills with ability to work using own initiative
- Positive and solution focused
