He loves being outdoors, enjoys fresh air and walks, and is always delighted to meet dogs when out and about (there are no pets in our home). We have several prams available to support outdoor activities.

This role involves providing care within the family home and supporting Sonny with both his medical and everyday needs in a calm, reassuring way. The role will include:

  • Providing attentive, child‑centred care in the home

  • Supporting feeding via PEG
  • Carrying out suctioning, both orally and via tracheostomy
  • Monitoring Sonny’s comfort and wellbeing at all times

Essential experience and requirements:

  • Tracheostomy trained
  • Confident with oral and tracheal suctioning

  • Experience supporting a child with complex medical needs
  • A calm, patient and confident approach
  • Reliability and a genuine enjoyment of working with children

This role would suit someone with a background in complex care, paediatrics, or experienced home care, who is looking for holiday‑only hours and wants to make a meaningful difference to a young child’s life.
