The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 Β£ per hour.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant to support 19-year-old Elliot during school holidays and, optionally, at weekends.

Hours:

  • School holidays (approx. 13 weeks per year): 10am-4pm, 2-3 days per week (12-18 hours)
  • Optional: 4 hours on Saturdays (all year)

The role is mainly about companionship and support during the day. You will help Elliot keep busy, suggest and attend outings and events, support him to prepare simple meals, and assist with building and maintaining everyday life skills. A key part of the role includes supporting with diabetes management, including administering insulin during the day and monitoring blood sugar levels. You should be confident in recognising and responding to hypo/hyper episodes. While healthcare experience or relevant qualifications are desirable, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Elliot has a learning difficulty and benefits from clear communication and patient, supportive guidance. He enjoys:
