You will be patient, understanding and able to build a trusting relationship over time. Experience supporting children or young people with autism, anxiety or behaviours that may challenge would be highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a calm and reassuring approach
- Be confident supporting a young person in community settings
- Be able to respond appropriately to periods of anxiety, frustration or emotional dysregulation
- Be reliable, flexible and committed to providing consistent support
- Have experience working with autistic children or young people (preferred)
