Are you a caring, enthusiastic person who enjoys helping someone experience the world in their own unique way? We are looking for kind, reliable individuals to join a small and supportive team, in Bagshot, Surrey, assisting an 18-year-old young man with deafblindness. This is a truly rewarding role where you will help him communicate, explore his surroundings, and enjoy the activities he loves while building confidence and independence. Working closely with his family and a small team of professionals, you’ll provide consistent, person‑centred support both at home and out in the community.
About Cameron
Cameron is a sociable and playful young man who enjoys a wide range of activities. He particularly loves:
- Swimming
- Trips to theme parks
- Walks and exploring both indoors and outdoors
- Parks and swings
- Sensory activities and massage (on his terms)
- Assisted cooking – and especially eating!
- Games like high-fives and interactive play
Cameron communicates primarily through tactile signing based on British Sign Language (BSL). Full training will be provided, including communication methods and multi‑sensory impairment awareness. He walks with guided support in unfamiliar environments and uses trailing techniques in places he knows well. A wheelchair is also used for longer outings or when he becomes tired.

Full training will be provided, including client‑specific and sensory impairment training. Hours and days are flexible and can be discussed with the right applicants.
