About the Role
- Work with individuals and families to identify their key housing needs and support them to resolve their housing situation.
- Recognize when someone needs hand holding to reach a solution, or when you can offer advice to empower them to resolve their housing situation themselves.
- Work with people with differing needs to identify the pathway that leads to settled housing.
- Find and work with the various agencies or networks that can help you assist residents.
About You
- Knowledge of housing and homelessness law, understanding of welfare benefits and social care.
- A minimum of one year working in frontline service delivering advice and support.
- Committed Case Officer to work with families and individuals at risk of homelessness to find housing solutions, either in their current home or through a planned move.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build positive and motivating relationships with clients and a strong ethos of joint working with partner agencies.
- Demonstrated track record in achieving positive outcomes for customers and contributing to service development.
