About the Role
Your main responsibilities include:
- Providing fast and accurate processing, recording, and posting of the council’s transactions.
- Ensuring debts and invoices are paid promptly.
- Accounting for VAT, administering credit card and procurement card programmes.
- Completing reconciliations.
About You
We would like you to hold an AAT or equivalent accountancy qualification and to have an understanding of Local Government Services and Regulations. Experience with the Civica financial system is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided. You must be reliable, confident, and able to prioritise and work under pressure. Experience dealing with customers and excellent customer‑care skills are required.
