About the Role
Grade SH6 (or depending on skills and experience SH5 with development plan to support progression to SH6)
Contract: Fixed Term maternity cover secondment for 12 months
An exciting secondment opportunity is available to be at the heart of the Council's journey of transformation and change. As the programme co-ordinator for Transformation and LGR transition arrangements, you will work closely with the Chief Executive, Corporate Management Team, elected Members, and colleagues from other Councils.
This busy and varied role based within a small and supportive corporate team will bring you high levels of visibility, learning, and awareness of the work of all services across the Council. Supported by the OD Manager and Head of Transformation, you will track the delivery of the Council's Transformation programme savings, monitor risks, and report to CMT and Members on a regular basis. You will be at the heart of our preparations for LGR, responding to requests for information from the central PMO / Implementation Team and supporting CMT to develop a programme of work for transition.
About You
You will be proactive and solution-focused with an excellent eye for detail and data, with strong organisational skills. You will be able to demonstrate project management skills and prioritise your workload effectively to meet regular important deadlines. A strong communicator, you will be able to develop trusted relationships at all levels within the Council and externally and demonstrate discretion, political awareness, and absolute confidentiality. You will be eager to learn and develop and play a critical role in the future success of the Council and our services to residents.
