Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Weybridge. The Electrical Engineer will design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for residential and commercial projects, including power distribution, lighting, security systems, and external power installations. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and NAPIT standards, performing testing and inspection (including EICR), and documenting work with accurate test certificates and reports. The role involves collaborating with colleagues and advisors, communicating clearly with clients, and prioritizing safety, reliability, and efficiency in all work. The Electrical Engineer will also support estimating and planning, help optimize project timelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of company processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical installation.
- Experience with power systems and power distribution in residential and commercial environments.
- Qualified to city and guilds level 3 (2365 or equivalent)
- city and guilds testing and inspection (2391) would be preferable
- knowledge and competence in testing is essential
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical specifications.
- Proficiency in electrical testing, fault finding, and producing accurate inspection and test reports (e.g., EICR).
- Commitment to health and safety standards, including adherence to UK electrical regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication skills, customer-focused attitude, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to client sites within Surrey and surrounding areas.
