Are you an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist looking to develop your expertise in neurorehabilitation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our friendly, supportive, and dynamic team on a fixed term contract ending 31st March 2027. This role is ideal for an experienced Band 6 or a Band 5 physiotherapist ready to progress, provided you have some stroke and neuro experience, whether through previous rotations or clinical placements.
We have an established band 6 Neuro rotation which offers experience in the following areas:
- Hyper Acute Stroke Unit
- Acute Stroke Unit
- Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation
- Early Supported Discharge Team
- Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service
Please note: A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes are essential for this role due to community-based visits. The postholder will be based in Epsom General Hospital but will also cover the inpatient stroke bed at Dorking community hospital in addition to outpatient clinics, home visits and care home visits across Surrey Downs area.

Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to adult inpatients within the Trust
- To assess and treat own caseload of patients, who may have complex presentation, and maintain associated records, as an autonomous practitioner
- To supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists/physiotherapy assistants/students and involvement in teaching MDT staff
- To undertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations for change in practice and may participate in departmental research and audit
- To assist the Band 7 Physiotherapist by monitoring caseloads, recording statistics and prioritising referrals as required
- To liaise effectively with other disciplines
Competence and Experience
- Competence in rehabilitation is required, with time spent in stroke and neurorehabilitation desirable
- We offer frequent supervision; regular development reviews and access to band-relevant support groups to ensure you feel supported and continue to develop professionally
