Role: We are seeking experienced SIA Stewards to join our matchday operations team. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all venue attendees. Ideally, candidates will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety, though training may be available for the right individuals. Your main responsibilities will include providing exceptional safety and security services, remaining calm and professional at all times, and responding effectively to any incidents. You will be positioned across various areas of the stadium, including hospitality zones, turnstiles, exit gates, stands, and concourses. This is a flexible, casual role, perfect for those looking to earn extra income while gaining experience in matchday operations. Availability is required for evening and weekend fixtures.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor crowd behaviour and communicate venue rules to spectators as required.
- Ensure access control measures are maintained in your designated area.
- Enforce venue rules.
- Assist with venue evacuation, directing guests, players, and officials to holding areas as instructed.
- Provide information and assistance to spectators and staff, enhancing the matchday experience.
- Deliver the brand and atmosphere of the event as briefed, reflecting the type of fixture being staged.
- Remain in your designated position until relieved by your nominated replacement.
Requirements:
Essential:- Candidates must be aged 18 or over.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Physically fit and mobile.
- Level 2 Award for Door Supervisor (SIA Badge).
- Enthusiastic individual who can work well in a team and follow instruction.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Strong time-keeping skills.
- Well presented at all times.
- Great communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Having or working towards NVQ2 in spectator safety is desired but not essential. Training may be available.
Benefits: £16.50 per hour excluding holiday pay. Complimentary meal and drink provided each matchday shift.
