The predicted salary is between 15 - 24 £ per hour.

We are seeking a qualified CCTV Operator to join our team for all major matchday fixtures, including The Hundred, T20 matches, and International Cricket games. This role is a key part of our operations team, responsible for safeguarding spectators and ensuring the smooth running of events using our surveillance systems. Attention to detail, vigilance, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents are essential. You must be highly observant, capable of maintaining concentration for extended periods, and able to monitor multiple areas or incidents simultaneously. Experience working in a control room environment is highly welcome. Availability for all major matchdays between April and September is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out pre- and post-event safety checks to ensure compliance with safe working procedures.
  • Monitor spectator movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Observe multiple locations to detect suspicious or unusual behaviour.
  • Track suspect individuals within the venue or around the venue perimeter.
  • Liaise with control room management to provide detailed intelligence about suspects, including appearance, actions, or location.
  • Ensure the CCTV system is fully operational, with video footage recorded and securely stored.
  • Assist police and other authorities by providing access to CCTV recordings or copies of footage when required.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid CCTV licence.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Discretion in handling and discussing sensitive information.
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Quick and logical thinking to identify and respond to emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Patience, focus, and perseverance.
  • Flexible availability for all major matchday fixtures.
  • Experience working in a control room environment is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits

£19.80 per hour excluding holiday pay. Complimentary meal and drink provided each shift.

Hours of Work

Casual – Part Time Flexible dependent on the planned fixtures. Weekend and bank holiday working. Surrey County Cricket Club's cricket season runs from April to September.
