The starting salary for this role is ÂŁ61,954 per annum, working 36 hours per week. We are recruiting a Team Manager (Occupational Therapy-qualified) to lead our new Connect2Community (C2C) teams in East Surrey. These teams are at the forefront of our resident-focused, early intervention approach, supporting people from first contact and delivering timely, strengths-based care. This role is hybrid, with three days in the office.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced leader to manage one of our new Connect2Community (C2C) teams within Adult Social Care. You will provide strong, compassionate leadership to a multidisciplinary frontline team, ensuring residents receive safe, timely and empowering support from first contact.

As a Team Manager, you will lead, motivate and support your team to deliver high-quality, strengths-based Occupational Therapy and social care practice. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that professional standards, quality assurance measures and customer experience expectations are consistently achieved. Alongside this, you’ll oversee day-to-day workflow, triage activity and resource management, maintaining a clear and coordinated operational approach. Building effective partnerships with health colleagues, community services, voluntary organisations, carers and families will be central to creating a joined-up and responsive service.

You will supervise Assistant Team Managers, promoting reflective practice, staff development and overall wellbeing, while ensuring that all practice aligns with legislation, policy requirements and budgetary responsibilities. The role also involves driving service improvement within the C2C model, placing emphasis on early intervention and strong risk management. In addition, you will lead safeguarding responsibilities and foster an inclusive, supportive team culture where staff feel valued, engaged and confident in delivering excellent care.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing or another relevant field (with registration where required)
  • Strong experience in adult social care, including knowledge of OT-related legislation and strengths-based practice
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop staff
  • Confidence managing performance, supporting reflective practice and ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies
  • Ability to manage complex risk, safeguarding and operational challenges
  • Strong organisational and resource-management skills
  • A commitment to personalised, inclusive practice aligned with Surrey’s “no one left behind” ambition

Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
