Part-Time Employment Support Specialist Fixed Term Contract in Guildford

Job Title : Employment Support Specialist – Contract up to end July 2026

Location : West Surrey including Woking, Guildford, and Waverley – appointments made from home and daily travel required across West Surrey (occasionally further afield)

Core Hours : Monday to Friday, 32 hours per week

Salary : £27,410 per annum pro rata – (£23,390 for 32 hours a week)

About the Employment Support Specialist Role

As an Employment Support Specialist you will guide and support customers with their employment aspirations and encourage access to paid employment, volunteering, and other opportunities in their communities independently. You will support customers with CV writing, interview preparation, job coaching, and travel training.

Skills and experience

• Ability to communicate effectively and engage with individuals, families/carers, and external partners
• Experience delivering job outcomes for disabled people
• A kind and caring approach to supporting people
• A willingness to learn
• A passion for creating diverse communities
• Excellent communication skills with others
• Ability to build and maintain relationships
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Good understanding of Employment Law and other relevant legislation
• Good IT skills
• Ability to travel across Surrey to see customers and employers. Reasonable adjustments will be discussed for applicants with a disability who cannot drive.
