Workforce Planning and Development Assistant role at Surrey and Sussex Police. Division / Department - People Services. Location - Surrey Police Headquarters, Guildford. Status - Full Time or Happy to Talk Flexible Working. Contract Type - Permanent. Salary Grade Range - £28,372 - £32,224. Working Hours - 36.0 Hours per Week. The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Workforce Planning and Development Team for a Workforce Planning and Development Assistant. This is a critical role supporting a team of Advisors working across all Surrey divisions and departments and some collaborated teams. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills. Primary duties include:
- Engage with stakeholders and support the wider Workforce Planning team to provide a seamless approach to customer queries.
- Collaborate to problem solve and make accurate judgments and decisions to ensure the most suitable service; escalate to subject matter experts as appropriate.
- Proactive management of the Team inbox on a day-to-day basis with awareness of team functionality and capacity.
- Maintain data integrity and establishment control; reconcile systems with the force budget and work with finance.
- Manage all officer and staff external secondments from Surrey, acting as single point of contact internally and externally; implement new secondments and manage existing agreements.
There will be opportunities to shadow meetings on divisions, engage with local Command Teams, and gain broader experience of policing and People Services support to day-to-day operations across the force.
